Never Stop
Updates, Events, and Employment Opportunity: Spring 2026
It’s go time and there’s no resting. The grass is growing, the trees are leafing out, the fruit trees are flowering, and the bees are buzzing. Spring has come a couple weeks early this year and we’ve had to kick it in gear. In the last few weeks, I’ve checked, repaired, and built miles of fence, tagged and banded calves, lambs and goat kids, and moved our cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs out for their first pasture rotation. As soon as one job is done, there’s another urgently waiting. Sleep is fleeting. And there’s more to go.
But we’ve had a great crop of calves so far and bundles and bundles of twin and triplet lambs and kids that just keep coming. It’s so fun!
So I won’t opine too much here. But I did want to let you know about a few upcoming events I’ll be speaking at.
Upcoming Events
Regenerative Grazing Conference May 9, Castell, TX.
What’s better than hanging out in the Hill Country in the Spring to chat about regenerative grazing?
Doomer Optimism Campout - America 250th Celebration June 5-7th, Story WY.
I’m excited about this one. I’ll be sharing my thoughts on how Living on the Land relates to the theme: The goal of this camp out is to assemble in celebration of our great nation’s past, to stir up the frontier spirits, and to imagine again the meaning of Liberty and what life looks like that pursues the most true and beautiful happiness.
